Newcastle youngster Haris Vučkić could be set for a loan return to Cardiff City, after the Welsh side enquired about his availability.

The 19-year old spent a month on loan at the Cardiff City Stadium last season, and news of Cardiff’s interest comes ahead of Newcastle’s final pre-season friendly against the Championship outfit later today.
We’re told that Cardiff want to sign Vučkić on a permanent deal, but the player himself only wants to leave on a season-long loan deal, because he sees his long-term future on Tyneside.
Newcastle’s stance is unclear on the situation but Alan Pardew has spoken in pre-season about giving young players like Vučkić a chance in the long, hard season ahead.
Vučkić scored in Toon’s 5-1 win at Hartlepool on Tuesday. The Slovenia U21 international scored one goal in five appearances during his short stint at Cardiff in February.
He was re-called after the one month due to Newcastle’s injury problems. However, he suffered a knee injury himself in training which ruled him out for the season.
According to one source, negotiations between Cardiff and Newcastle have been going on for some time and the midfielder may even have a medical at some point today.
What do you think? We’re slightly sceptical about this rumour because letting Vučkić leave doesn’t make sense (especially a week before new season).
However, maybe AP wants him to gain more first team experience elsewhere? He is only 19.
