Here’s a move we didn’t see coming, but well done to James Troisi. The former Newcastle United youngster has signed a 4-year contract with Seria A side Juventus.

The 24-year old attacking midfielder was a fringe player at St James’ Park making it as far as the bench in Premier League and European games between 2005-08.
He was released at the end of the 2007-08 season by then Toon boss Sam Allardyce and decided to move to Turkey. Short successful stints at Gençlerbirliği and Kayserispor followed, where he was a regular in both teams.
According to The World Game, his move to Juventus is complicated and he has been loaned out to another Italian side in Atalanta with striker Manolo Gabbiadini going the other way.
Our best wishes to James. It didn’t quite work out for him at Newcastle but he kept at it and has now joined Juventus.
Well done.
