Alan Pardew took part in a Q & A session & charity dinner organised by the Newcastle United Foundation at St James’ Park last night.
We sadly couldn’t make it to the event (do to work commitments elsewhere) but the Twittersphere was full of updates from the evening, despite NUFC Official later tweeting their frustration at fans providing information from an “off the record” event.

We’re told Pardew specifically told fans not to tweet or share anything said at the event, but despite this, a number of the Toon twitterati decided to kept others informed. .
The general feeling among those in attendance seems to be that it was a very positive evening as Pardew spoke openly and honestly about the Toon. John Carver couldn’t make it due to a family bereavement. Our thoughts are with the Carver household.
Toon fan Chris Scott tweeted @nufcfans – “Brilliant night from pards at SJP tonight. Honest, open, from the heart and out of respect for him I won’t tweet quotes.“
Another Toon fan Neil Mitchell tweeted, “utter respect to ap. top man. We will go far if we all stick together and stay united! howay!!!!“
Going through some of the tweets of what was said, we didn’t see anything groundbreaking from Pardew. What we don’t know yet, will hopefully be revealed at an event where Chatham House rules don’t apply. Or maybe in the papers.
Well done to the Foundation for holding this event and we hope there will be more in the future for good causes.
Fingers crossed.
