Some positivity from Alan Pardew regarding transfers. He’s hopeful of a transfer breakthrough at Newcastle United in this coming week.

Toon are heading back from Faro, Portugal after winning the Guardian Tournament – and the week ahead if being built as pretty crucial as Pardew looks to add to his squad before jetting out for the pre-season match against ADO Den Haag on Saturday.
According to reports, Newcastle are closing in on the signing of Lille RB Mathieu Debuchy and Australian defender Curtis Good will also have his medical at the club this week.
Pardew told the Sunday Sun:
“I think the situation is that by the end of the week – by next Sunday – I think we will have another player in. I’m hoping we will have two players in.
“And I don’t want to see anybody go out and I don’t think I will. That’s my genuine feeling.”
The paper speculates as to a potential new bid for Ajax midfielder Vurnon Anita, who impressed in the side’s victory over Southampton.
There is also hope that Demba Ba will still be at Newcastle next season – the next 48 hours are crucial when the release clause in his contract expires.
