Pardew arrived at Newcastle with an approval rating of 1.8% according to the Evening Chronicle. In less than two years, he has totally transformed the fortunes of the club, with the backing of owner Mike Ashley and support of the Toon faithful. Surrey-born Pardew is very much an adopted Geordie now.
