The first leg of NUFC’s pre-season has finally been confirmed today, with Monaco, Fenerbahce, Braga and Olympiacos among the opponents – but there has been no confirmation of our game against ADO Den Haag.
The official confirmation comes fairly late with NUFC playing their first pre-season game tomorrow evening in Germany against German D3 side Chemnitzer FC.
According to the club, “due to the cancellation of the Vodacom Challenge tournament in South Africa, arrangements for the games in Germany and Hungary were made in less time than desirable, which has resulted in the late confirmation of these matches.“
After Chemnitzer, NUFC will play AS Monaco (also in Germany) and Turkish side Fenebahce (in Hungary). For the late July trip to Portugal, Newcastle will compete in the Guadiana Torneo against SC Braga (Former mag Hugo Viana’s current club replaced Porto) and Olympiakos.
