NUFCFANS EXCLUSIVE
The release of Newcastle United’s new Home and Third kits for the 2012/13 season has been delayed, according to a leaked PUMA e-mail sent to NUFCfans.co.uk.

Our Germany based fan reporter Gregg Cathrae was contacted by a source at PUMA head office in Germany earlier today – with an e-mail outlining the change in dates following confirmation of Newcastle’s 4th August pre-season friendly at ADO Den Haag.
According to the e-mail, Newcastle’s new home strip for the 2012/13 season will be released on Thursday 9th August, with the Third kit going on sale on Thursday 30th August.
It looks like the 3rd kit will be released on the same day as the 2nd leg of NUFC’s Europa League play-off qualifier, for now – but the date may be changed in the near future.
The e-mail also states that the dates allow “for signing sessions and promotions to be fully attended by NUFC after their pre-season schedule.“
Newcastle’s new home kit, seen in the side’s first two pre-season friendlies in Germany so far is a retro design with the introduction of new PUMA design spikes.
The Third kit is believed to be luminous green in colour and the same design as the Burgundy Away kit which has already been released.
Newcastle will play Fenerbahce in their third pre-season game on Saturday. The pre-season schedule also includes games against Braga, Olympiacos, ADO Den Haag and Cardiff City.
