Newcastle United are in talks with Tim Krul’s home town club ADO Den Haag about a pre-season friendly in the Netherlands next month.

A press officer at ADO has told NUFCfans.co.uk that talks with Newcastle have been ‘positive‘ but details are yet to be finalised.
The news comes after Dutch ticket website TicketBox.nl advertised the game between Newcastle and Den Haag as being scheduled for a 1700 kick-off on Saturday 4th August, with the venue listed as ADO Den Haag’s 15,000 seater Kyocera Stadion.
According to ADOfans.nl, Den Haag initially invited French club Valenciennes for a game but they are planning to face another Eredivisie club in FC Utrecht on the same day. As a result, ADO will face Newcastle United.
There is no confirmation on the official ADO website yet, but an official announcement with ticket details will be made shortly.

Newcastle already have six pre-season games in the next six weeks or so, four of which have been confirmed by NUFC themselves. The lads will travel to Germany for games against Chemnitzer FC and AS Monaco, before heading to Faro for games against FC Porto and Olympiacos towards the end of July. At the start of August, the reserve team takes on Gateshead, with a friendly away at Cardiff on 11th August – a week before the new seasons begins. The proposed ADO Den Haag game will be scheduled between the last two friendlies.
More recently, there have been rumours in the Turkish media that Newcastle will travel to Austria for friendlies against Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Polish side Wisla Krakow. Once again, there has been no official confirmation.
