French Ligue Two side AS Monaco have confirmed a pre-season friendly against Newcastle United on their official website.

The Red and Whites will take on the Magpies as part of their two game tour of Germany. The match will take place on Monday 16th July at 19.00 (local time) in Landsberg am Lech.
Newcastle will play German D3 side Chemnitzer FC three days earlier, on Friday 13th July at their 16,000 caparity Stadion an der Gellertstraße.
The Monaco game is the latest addition to Newcastle’s pre-season line-up ahead of the 2012/13 season, with no home games planned due to the Olympics.
The games officially confirmed by either Newcastle United or their opponents are as follows:
- Friday 13th July – Chemnitzer FC – 19.30 BST – Stadion an der Gellertstraße
- Monday 16th July – AS Monaco – 20.00 BST – Landsberg am Lech
- Friday 27th July – Olympiacos – 19.45 BST – Algarve Stadium
- Saturday 28th July – FC Porto – 19.45 BST – Algarve Stadium
- Wednesday 1st August – Gateshead (Reserve fixture) – 19.30 – International Stadium
- Saturday 11th August – Cardiff City – 15.00 – Cardiff City Stadium
Newcastle begin their Premier League campaign at home against Spurs on Saturday 18th August at 1500. The game may be changed by Sky TV, a schedule to be confirmed by mid-July.
