Have we finally seen a real leak of Newcastle’s new home kit for next season? A new design has come to the fore with speculation that it is Puma’s new design for 2012/13.
Football blog Todo Sobre Camisetas claims to have leaked the retailers new designs for Newcastle, Borussia Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon. Toon’s home strip is a nice and neat version with more white than black this time around. It is very similar to 2005-07 and 2009-10 versions. However, we see the addition of stylish black spikes for the first time within the white stripes. The third/change kit is a simple lime green.
According to the blog, these are the first ‘official photos‘ to end the speculation. It is important to stress that this is just a rumour as there have been many photoshopped versions of the kit floating around.
However, the leak has got many fans believing that it could the real deal. One of the factors being pointed by fans on our Twitter account @nufcfans is that the promotion poster from the club has a star/spike design on it. This could just be a coincidence or maybe there is something in it – we’ll leave that to you.
The new home strip is expected to go on sale in the first week of August. There has been no official word on the leaks from Newcastle United or Puma.
