Who scored Newcastle’s goal of the season?

Five top quality goals from Papiss Cisse have made the NUFCfans.co.uk goal of the season contest.

Cisse’s debut strike against Aston Villa, along with goals against Norwich, Swansea and Chelsea are part of 20 goals nominated by Toon fans on the NUFCfans facebook page.

Four goals from Demba Ba make the list, including the emphatic free-kick against West Brom. Hatem Ben Arfa, Yohan Cabaye, Shola Ameobi and Ryan Taylor have two goals each in the poll. Sammy Ameobi, Danny Guthrie and Jonas Gutierrez complete the list with single entries.

1) ASTON VILLA (H) – Chest and half-volley from inside the area, arrowed into the top corner.

2) NORWICH (H) – Powerful effort after beating the defender. Shot fired into the top corner from 12 yards.

3) SWANSEA (A) – Majestic lob over Michel Vorm, left him standing. Superb control and chip.

4) CHELSEA (A) 1st – Touch and half-volley into the top corner. Past Cech before he saw it.

5) CHELSEA (A) 2nd – Instinctive, swerving, dipping effort from outside of the foot, curled over and above Cech.

Demba Ba

1) NORWICH (A) 1st – Superb control from Cabaye ball over the top, one touch and finish past Ruddy. Easy.

2) NORWICH (A) 2nd – Ameobi’s pass plays in Ba who turns past defender before rifling in from 18 yards.

3) WEST BROM (H) – Emphatic free-kick with pace and power to give the goalkeeper no chance.

4) MAN UTD (H) – Over the shoulder effort from Ameobi’s flick beat Lindegaard all ends up.

Hatem Ben Arfa

1) BLACKBURN (H) – Terrific individual cup goal. Hatem beats five players before firing into the roof of the net.

2) BOLTON (H) – Amazing individual strike. Picks it up on halfway line, beats 4 players before slotting past Bogdan.

Yohan Cabaye

1) MAN UTD (H) – Tremendous free-kick from 30 yards. Yohan’s effort curled in off the underside of the bar. Some goal.

2) STOKE (H) 2nd – Curling effort from 20 yards right into the bottom corner. Classy finish from a class player.

Shola Ameobi

1) SPURS (H) – A rocket from Shola, coming off the bench. Rifled into the bottom corner on the turn to make it 2-2.

2) SUNDERLAND (H) – Mackemslayer delivers again, knocks ball past Mignolet at the back post so late in the game.

Ryan Taylor

1) SUNDERLAND (A) – Over the wall and in some style from Ryan Taylor. A goal worthy of winning this fiery affair.

2) EVERTON (H) – Dipping effort from all of 25 yards, crashed in off the crossbar. Gave Howard no chance.

Sammy Ameobi

SCUNTHORPE (A) – A extra time winner from Sammy. A powerful strike into the bottom corner after a wonderful run.

Danny Guthrie

FULHAM (A) – Picks it up outside the box and hits a screamer into the top corner at Craven Cottage. Impressive.

Jonas Gutierrez

WOLVES (A) – Argentine magic from Jonas. Past three and races into the box before a hard and low finish. Lovely!
