Newcastle United’s French 25 year old winger Sylvain Marveaux believes playing again this season may be too difficult a hurdle to overcome.
In an interview published in the Shields Gazette, the former Rennes man suggested he is still 2 months away:
“I don’t know if I will play again this season, because I won’t train for two more months. I’m not thinking of playing again. I want to do it step by step.”
“The worst – surgery and everything – is behind me, and I just want to be on the pitch. I hope I will train in a couple of months.”
Marveaux has made 9 appearances in the black and white shirt, including 6 in the Premiership, since his move on a free transfer from France in June 2011. His last performance came in Newcastle’s 2 – 1 home win against Everton.
